Volunteer

Volunteering with Caring Herts CIC is a fantastic way to support your local community, develop new skills and have a great time doing it! We have a range of opportunities that give so much:

• meet new people
• help support those who are elderly, frail and/or living with a life limiting condition
• help reduce loneliness and social isolation
• gain new skills
• a fantastic sense of satisfaction
• and, most importantly, you will have fun!

1-1 Volunteer

Our 1-1 volunteers visit people in their local community who are lonely and socially isolated and unable to attend one of our Wellbeing Hubs. We ask for one visit a week, for at least an hour and our volunteers do all sorts, from sitting and having a cup of tea and a chat, to visits to local garden centres, walks round the park, cinema trips and more!

Wellbeing Hub Volunteer

Get involved in any of our 15 Wellbeing Hubs, help set the room up, make the refreshments and pack away at the end. But that’s not all, it’s about welcoming people in, enjoying time with them and helping to run the various activities. Each hub runs like a family and we’d love to welcome you into it. The commitment is around 3 hours per week, but it doesn’t have to be every week.

Volunteer Driver

Help some of our more isolated community members attend their favourite hub by picking them up in your car and dropping them off at home afterwards. Full insurance, training and mileage are provided through North Herts & Stevenage Community Transport.

General Volunteer

Anything else! If you have a skill, expertise or simply have some time that you’d like to donate and you think you could help, drop us a line. We are always looking for people to help with admin, finances, social media, photography, videogropahy, baking, creative arts such as knitting and more.
