Caring Herts CIC is a Community Interest Company which was founded at the beginning of 2026 with a clear purpose to continue and grow vital support for people in our community who may feel lonely or socially isolated.
Our Director, Jeanette Farrow, is a social worker by background and brings eight years of experience as a Compassionate Neighbours Manager in our local hospice. Her dedication to improving the wellbeing of others, particularly those experiencing loneliness and isolation, inspired her to use her skills, knowledge and leadership to establish this new CIC. Her vision is simple, to create welcoming, supportive spaces where people feel connected, valued and heard.
Today, our CIC is powered by a committed team of five staff members, alongside a wonderful group of dedicated volunteers. Together, we deliver our Wellbeing Hubs and the Healthy Memory Café across North Hertfordshire and Stevenage, providing safe, inclusive environments where people can build friendships, access support and enhance their wellbeing.
As a Community Interest Company, we are also supported by an advisory board and voluntary directors who bring valuable expertise, guidance and governance. Their support strengthens our organisation and helps ensure we continue to grow sustainably while remaining true to our community-focused mission.
We are proud to be a community-led organisation, built on compassion, connection and the belief that no one should feel alone.
